Talk-Bridge Acceptable Use Policy

1.0 · 8/20/2026

_Version 1.0, 20 August 2026_

1. What this document is

This Policy sets out how you may and may not use the Talk-Bridge Service. It forms part of the Terms of Service and expands their section 9. Terms have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service.

What we provide is a service - access to the Service: speech recognition, translation, playback in a synthesised voice, transcripts, summaries and a glossary. This Policy governs your conduct when using that service.

2. Who this applies to

Everyone who uses the Service:

  • account holders;
  • participants and listeners who join a room by link without registering;
  • anyone who accesses the Service programmatically.

You may use the Service if you are 18 or older.

You may not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions applicable to us or to our payment providers, or if you are located in a territory subject to comprehensive restrictive measures.

Whoever creates a room is responsible for whom they invite into it and for compliance with this Policy in that room.

3. Consent of the people in the conversation

The Service recognises and translates live speech. In many countries, recording, recognising or translating a conversation requires the consent of those taking part - in some jurisdictions, of every one of them.

Before you start, you must:

- satisfy yourself that the applicable law permits this conversation to be recognised and translated; - obtain the participants' consent where it is required; - tell participants and listeners that their speech is being recognised, translated and stored as a transcript.

Listeners join by link and do not register: the person who shares the link must tell them. Do not circulate a room link to people whose presence the participants would not expect.

Using the Service for covert monitoring, listening in on or recording people without their knowledge is prohibited.

We do not store audio (Privacy Policy, section 2), but that does not relieve you of obtaining consent: recognition and translation still take place, and the transcript is kept.

4. Prohibited uses

You must not use the Service for:

- breaking the law, or preparing, committing or concealing an offence; - anything involving sexual material featuring minors, or the grooming of minors and their involvement in such material; - inciting, promoting or justifying violence, terrorism or extremism; - inciting hatred or hostility on grounds of race, nationality, origin, sex, language, religion, disability, age or sexual orientation; - threats, bullying, harassment or blackmail; - fraud in any form - deception, obtaining money or data by deceit, phishing, impersonating another person or organisation, get-rich-quick schemes and pyramid schemes; - distributing malware or instructions for gaining unauthorised access to other people's systems; - trading in prohibited goods and services - drugs, weapons, forged documents, counterfeit goods, stolen data; - infringing other people's intellectual property rights, or their rights in their image and voice; - disclosing information protected by law where you have no right to disclose it.

The prohibition covers both what is said in the conversation and the text you enter into the Service: glossary entries, room names and your display name.

5. What you should not put into the Service

Speech and text are processed with the involvement of external speech recognition and translation providers, listed in the Privacy Policy, section 4. Before you say something in a room, make sure you are entitled to pass it to third parties.

Do not use the Service to transmit:

- state secrets or other information to which access is restricted by law; - another party's trade secrets or information you received under an obligation of confidence, unless the owner has permitted the disclosure; - card details, passwords, one-time codes or access keys; - special categories of personal data - health, biometric data, religious or political beliefs, sex life - where you have no legal basis for transmitting them.

Do not rely on automatic translation where an error could cause harm: in medical, legal, financial or similar situations requiring guaranteed accuracy, without human review (Terms, section 2).

6. Synthesised speech

The Service plays translations back in a synthesised voice. The voice is selected by the Service automatically; the Service does not reproduce or imitate the voice of any particular person.

You must not:

- pass synthesised speech off as the speech of a specific, real person; - attribute to a person words they did not say, including by deliberately distorting a translation; - use synthesised speech to defeat voice authentication or any identity verification procedure; - use another person's voice without their consent; - use the resulting audio to deceive - including in "call from a relative" or "call from your bank" scams.

If you publish a Service-generated translation outside the Service, state that the voice is synthesised.

7. The Service does not create images or video

Talk-Bridge works with audio and text only: it recognises speech, translates it and plays it back. The Service does not create images or video, does not alter them and does not accept them from users. Requirements for moderating generated visual content do not apply to the Service.

8. Technical limits and integrity of the Service

You must not:

- circumvent technical or plan limits, quotas or rate limits; - generate load through automated requests beyond the limits we apply, or otherwise disrupt the Service for other users; - access or attempt to access other people's accounts, rooms and transcripts, or the internal components of the Service; - probe the security of the Service without our written permission; - harvest data from the Service by automated means outside the published programming interface; - use the Service to carry third-party traffic, to relay it or to conceal the origin of requests.

If you find a vulnerability, write to support@talk-bridge.com and give us a reasonable period to fix it before disclosure.

9. Third-party access and resale

Access is granted to you. You must not share your credentials with third parties, resell access to the Service, provide it to others for a fee, or embed the Service in your own product without our written consent. Inviting participants and listeners into your own room is not resale.

You must not create multiple accounts in order to obtain the bonus minutes more than once.

10. Payment, bonuses and the partner programme

You must not:

- pay for access with someone else's or stolen payment instruments; - raise a chargeback with your bank instead of contacting us: write to support@talk-bridge.com first; refunds are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy; - use the Service for transactions prohibited by anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing legislation; - earn referral credit through self-invitation, fictitious accounts, spam or false income claims; - interfere with the metering of time used or with your account balance.

11. Reporting a violation

Write to support@talk-bridge.com. Tell us what happened, where (room link, date and time, account address - if you know them) and what supports it.

We acknowledge reports within three business days and treat them as a priority. If your report concerns a threat to life or health, or material involving minors, say so in the subject line.

12. What we do about violations

Our response is proportionate to the violation. We may issue a warning, restrict particular features, suspend access, terminate the contract and delete the account. We tell you the reason (Terms, section 12).

We act without prior warning where delay would create a threat to life, health or the security of the Service, and where the law requires it. Where the law so provides, we are obliged to report the violation to the competent authorities.

You may object. Write to support@talk-bridge.com: we will consider your arguments and restore access if there was no violation or it has been remedied.

Termination for a violation does not deprive you of the rights given by the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Bonus funds are not refunded - they have no cash value (Terms, section 4).

13. Changes to this Policy

We may change this Policy on 10 days' notice by email or in your account, in the manner set out in section 12 of the Terms. The current version and its date are always shown at the top of this page.
